Come participate in a conversation on how to create a great 21st Century Library for the UCR Community .

Joan Lippincott is an international leader in the library and information technologies world and is the Associate Executive Director of the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI). CNI is an institutional membership organization that advances the transformative promise of networked information technology for the advancement of scholarly communication and the enrichment of intellectual productivity. http://www.cni.org/about-cni/staff/joan-k-lippincott/

The conversation will focus on such issues as:

    • Design of effective learning spaces in the 21st Century university library
    • The role of libraries in the mid-21st Century
    • The changing nature of librarianship and what it means to be a librarian
    • The need for collaboration between libraries, central IT operations, and other
      departments for the academic success of our students and our faculty
