Meet the Author Series: Richard Godbeer
Born in Essex, England, Richard Godbeer received his B.A. from Oxford University in 1984 and his Ph.D. from Brandeis University in 1989. He specializes in Early American history, with an emphasis on Early American religious and cultural history, gender, and sexuality. He is author of The Devil’s Dominion: Magic and Religion in Early New England (Cambridge University Press, 1992, Winner of the American Historical Association Pacific Coast Branch book award), and Sexual Revolution in Early America (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2002).
