Melvyl Profile users: Action needed
If you currently have a Profile set up in the Melvyl catalog (to use the Update, Saved Lists, or Search History features), you will not be able to automatically transfer this information to the new version of the catalog, known as Melvyl-T. On August 1, when Melvl-T replacesMelvyl, profile data stored in the old system will no longer be accessible.
You will need to set up a new Profile in Melvyl-T by clicking the "Sign In" link at the top of the web page and following the instructions. The Sign In link changes to a My Workspace link after you register and sign in; this is where you can make changes to your preferences and stored information.
Search Histories and Saved Lists of records in the existing Melvyl catalog cannot be automatically transferred to Melvyl-T. If you wish to save this information you will need to do the following before August 1:
- Go into the existing Melvyl catalog and activate your profile.
- Saved Lists: print, e-mail, or download this information.
- Search History: print or "cut-and-paste" this information into a text editor.
