| About the Petko Award | |
| The UCR Libraries Student Book Collection Competition for the Awarding of the Petko Prize is inaugurated the academic year 2003 – 2004. This competition is made possible by the contribution of a generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous. It is the intention of the donor that this competition be an annual event in which undergraduates and graduate students at UCR are given the opportunity to display their talents in assembling and organizing a personal book collection. Student collections need not consist of rare or expensive books. The focus of the collection can center upon any subject or topic.
