Clifford Trafzer, Native Universe: Voices of Indian Americans

Clifford E. Trafzer is Professor of American Indian History at UCR where he is also the Graduate Studies Advisor and Director of the Public History Program. He has published several scholarly books and articles, including Renegade Tribe, Death Stalks the Yakama, and Earth Song/Sky Spirit, all of which have won book awards. Most recently, his co-edited book, Native Universe: Voices of Indian America, won an award from the American Association of Museums. Professor Trafzer edited the text of Native Universe and wrote the three major essays entitled "Our Universes," "Our Peoples," and "Our Lives," the major themes of exhibitions in the National Museum of the American Indian. The book was published by National Geographic in 2004 in conjunction with the opening of the Smithsonian's newest museum in Washington, D.C.
