The UCR Libraries Student Book Collection Competition for the Awarding of the Petko Prize for 2006 - 2007 is made possible by the generosity of Dr. Edward Petko, the son of Adam Repan Petko. This competition is an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students at UCR to display their talents in assembling and organizing a personal book collection. Student collections need not consist of rare or expensive books. The focus of the collection can center upon any subject or topic. |
| Application and contest rules are available at the Circulations Desk of each of the libraries on campus. Winners are eligible for the Fine Books & Collections magazine’s Collegiate Book Collecting Championship (http://www.finebooksmagazine.com/contest/). The final judging and the presentation of the Adam Repan Petko Prizes will be on Friday, May 18, 2007 at an award ceremony in the Department of Special Collections, Rivera Library, UCR. |
