Celebrate Constitution Day!

On September 17, 1787, the 55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia held their final meeting with only one item on their agenda: the signing of the Constitution of the United States of America. Within just four hand-written pages, the document represents one of the world's greatest expressions of statesmanship.
To acknowledge the nation's September 17th commemoration of Constitution Day 2011 (observed on September 16), the Libraries have created an exhibit in the Tomás Rivera Library lobby that pays tribute to the Constitution and its authors. The Libraries have also created a guide to Constitution Day Resources for your further interest and research. See more information on the constitution at Constitution Day at UC.
We hope you will take the time to explore these resources and exhibits to learn about the history and meaning of the 223-year-old document.
