Timothy Geiger is a poet and the editor and publisher of Aureole Press at the University of Toledo. His press publishes limited edition letter press books of poetry, recently THE LANGUAGE PROBLEM by Philip Levine; EXILED FROM THE THRONE OF NIGHT, (translations of the Spanish poet Luis Cernuda by Ruben Quesada, a UCR graduate); and CLOUD JOURNAL by Christopher Buckley. To celebrate Writers Week 2010 and student writing, Geiger and Aureole Press will print a limited edition broadside of the winning poem from a student contest which was held at the University of Toledo this fall. The winning poem was written by MFA student Bonnie Bolling. Copies of the broadside will be available gratis to those who attend the printing demonstration.
Geiger will also read and discuss his poetry on Wednesday, February 10th, in INTS 1128 at 10:30 A.M.
A presentation of letterpress printing by Timothy Geiger, an event of UC Riverside's annual Writers Week, will be held on Tuesday, February 9 at 3:00 PM in the printing shop of Special Collections and Archives, Rivera Library, 4th floor.
