“Rolling Solo - Story and simulation in Flying Buffalo's ‘City of Terrors’”

Dr. Tim Labor will speak on the fascinating world of Fantasy and Gaming. Professor Labor will focus on the second-generation of dice-based role playing games that gave serious competition to TSR’s 1974 Dungeons and Dragons, including Flying Buffalo’s Tunnels and Trolls--the world’s first solitaire or “solo” adventure game.

Dr. Tim Labor is an Associate Professor of Music and Graduate Advisor at the University of California, Riverside, specializing in music composition and sound design for theatre and film. As a film and media composer, he has collaborated in a variety of projects including the computer games Everquest and Re-Elect JFK.
