2011-2012 Adam Repán Petko Memorial Student Book Collection Competition

The last workshop will be held on April 9, 2012 in Room 130 of the Rivera Library from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The submission deadline for the competition is Monday, April 16, 2012.
As many past attendees of this workshop have gone on to win the competition, and we strongly advise interested applicants to attend. This is a chance to organize your thoughts about your collection and to ask questions about the competition.
The UCR Libraries Student Book Collection Competition was inaugurated in the academic year 2003-2004 in memory of Adam Repán Petko (1896-1995) by his son Dr. Edward C. Petko.
The purpose of this competition is to encourage students in the reading and assembling of books, and especially in the creation of their own personal libraries and book collections. A collection can comprise any subject or topic, and collections need not consist of rare or expensive books.
Applications with guidelines for entering the competition are available at the Circulation and Reference Desks of each of the libraries on campus.
