Meet the Author Series: David J. Skal
David J. Skal is a documentary film maker and the author of Hollywood Gothic, The Monster Show, V is for Vampire, and Screams of Reason. He is also co-editor of the Norton Critical Edition of Bram Stocker’s Dracula. Mr. Skal will speak about his most recent publication Death Makes a Holiday: A Cultural History of Halloween which explores the fascinating phenomenon of Halloween and the history and the deeper meaning of its various rituals and traditions.
