Meet the Author Series: Susan Straight
Susan Straight, Professor of Creative Writing at UCR and author of many acclaimed novels [Aquaboogie, I Been In Sorrow’s Kitchen and Licked Out All The Pots, Blacker Than a Thousand Midnights, and The Gettin Place] will read from her latest novel, Highwire Moon. This novel was a finalist for the National Book Award and winner of the Commonwealth of California Gold Medal for Fiction. Highwire Moon was also named one of the year’s best novels by The San Francisco Chronicle and The Washington Post. A Riverside native, Ms. Straight still resides here with her three daughters.
