Prado Dam Tour with UCR Friends of the Santa Ana River (R’River)

Join us on Thursday, October 25, 12:30-2, to take a tour of the Prado Dam with Army Corps of Engineer’s experts. Prado Dam is an earth-fill dam across the Santa Ana River at the Chino Hills near Corona with the resulting impounded water creating Prado Flood Control Basin reservoir. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers built the dam in Lower Santa Ana River Canyon. Its primary purpose is flood control. The dam's construction was authorized in 1936 and construction was completed in 1941.
