New Digital Resources: American Physiological Society backfiles
On behalf of the individual UC campuses, the California Digital Library has purchased the backfiles of journals from the American Physiological Society (APS). Thanks to Dr. Ted Garland from our Biology Department for suggesting this acquisition to the UCR Libraries. As a result, the entire UC system is benefiting!
This online collection, called the Journal Legacy Content, will contain all the APS journal content previous to what is already online, going back to the first issue of each of the APS journals, including the first, the American Journal of Physiology, in 1898. This legacy content will be viewable as completely searchable scanned images of the printed pages.
APS is mounting the backfiles in stages; currently their journals are searchable back to the mid-1960s. APS journals are: the eight parts of the American Journal of Physiology, Advances in Physiology Education, Journal of Applied Physiology, Journal of Neurophysiology, Physiological Genomics, Physiological Reviews, and News in Physiological Sciences.
To access these journals
