The first issue of the Wall Street Journal was four pages long and sold for two cents. Today, the paper is considered the preeminent publication for business news and information on financial markets worldwide.

UCR Libraries is pleased to announce the availability of the online Wall Street Journal, Wall Street Journal (Current) (1986-present) and Wall Street Journal (Historical) (1889-current file). The current version is updated daily and includes full text articles, photographs, illustrations, and advertisements. The historical version delivers every page of every issue from cover to cover, with full-page and article images in downloadable PDF.

You can search either of these files by subject, keyword, or author.  Results can be sorted chronologically or by relevance (most relevant articles will appear first).  It is also possible to browse through all the WSJ articles published on a certain day.  Check October 30, 1929 to read about the stock market crash or September 12, 2001.
