The full-text searchable Digitale Bibliothek Deutscher Klassiker provides electronic access to 133 volumes of the Deutscher Klassiker Verlag collection, spanning eleven centuries, from early German writing through the 19th century. It covers the work of more than thirty authors, including early German texts such as Lancelot and Ginover and Wolfram von Eschenbach, editions of important authors such as Herder, Kleist, and Büchner, and the works of philosophers such as Kant, Schleiermacher, and Fichte. Collections of historical, philosophical, theological, political and art history texts add context and background material. All the texts have been newly edited by leading international scholars and are accompanied by extensive commentaries that reflect the most recent research. The database is searchable across the whole collection or selected parts of it. Click here for the English-language introductory page. http://klassiker.chadwyck.com/
