The UCR Libraries are pleased to announce that we now have access to a new online encyclopedia from Marcel Dekker, Inc. which covers classic and modern studies in plant biology in conjunction with research, applications, and innovations in crop science.
Search for information on a topic or browse the table of contents. The Encyclopedia of Plant and Crop Science is available via Scotty, or directly at http://www.informaworld.com/openurl?genre=book&isbn=978-0-8247-0944-0. The print version of this encyclopedia is located in Science Reference Collection, call number SB45.E486 2004.
Over 300 entries are written by experts in their field. Subjects range from the fundamentals of plant growth and reproduction to developments in agronomy and agricultural science.
Encyclopedias are especially useful in providing background information or an overview on a topic. Each entry also provides a list of references and suggests other related entries.
