Black Drama is a unique database which brings together 1,200 plays, almost a quarter of which are previously unpublished, by writers such as Langston Hughes, Ed Bullins, Willis Richardson, Femi Euba, Amiri Baraka, Randolph Edmonds, Zora Neale Hurston, and many others.
The collection includes the complete works of more than 300 playwrights from North America, English-speaking Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, Australia, and other locations. Starting ca. 1850 with Victorian plays and working up to the present, this collection presents the writings together with biographies, playbills, images, production notes, performance information, and much more. |
