UCR      Libraries

UCR access to scholarly full-text articles just got better with access to over 300 journals published by SAGE. Thanks to a recently negotiated contract on behalf of the UC Libraries by the California Digital Library (CDL), UC researchers now can access articles in journals such as:

  Criminal Justice and Behavior: an International Journal
  Politics and Society
  Sociological Methods and Research
  Journal of Planning Literature
  Social Studies of Science
  Medical Decision Making
  International Journal of Robotics Research

These journals fall into two main categories:

1. Those 220 titles included with the SAGE Full-Text Collections, 10 discipline-specific research databases of peer-reviewed journals available through Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA) 
2. An additional 140 titles in the social sciences, humanities, and life sciences available through Highwire.

Researchers can find articles they need from the SAGE Collections 1) from their searches conducted in the various CSA databases, 2) as a result from UC-eLinks, or 3) through a journal title search in SCOTTY. One can also go to E-journals and E-Books which is on the left-hand side of the UCR Libraries Homepage, scroll down to section 7 and select the options for SAGE Full-Text Collections. 

The ten discipline-specific research databases are listed below.  Each question mark icon links to a description of the resource; the second link is to the searchable CSA collection.
