New Digital Resources: Linguistics research now easier

Linguistics research now easier

UCR Libraries now has the definitive database on the nature and use of language, Linguistics & Language Behavior Abstracts (LLBA) from CSA/Proquest.  This impressive resource covers three fundamental areas:

  • research in linguistics (the nature and structure of human speech)
  • research in language (speech sounds, sentence and word structure, meaning in language forms, spelling, phonetics)
  • research in speech, language, and hearing pathology.

International in scope, Linguistics & Language Behavior Abstracts (LLBA)  provides citations and abstracts to journal articles, books, book chapters, dissertations, and reviews of books and other media from 1973 to present.   To find linguisitics information before 1973,  please consult the print indexes under the call number: P1 L2

Using the the UC-eLinks button UC-eLinks button, you can find whether the full text of the articles you want are available online or in the library.

To see all the UCR authors:

Linguistics & Language Behavior Abstracts (LLBA) can be accessed from off campus.  Click on Connect from Home for details.
