National Jukebox, an archival recording project of the Library of Congress, offers free public access to over 10,000 streamed American recordings made between 1901 and 1925.
National Jukebox contains music in 19 different genres, including popular, ethnic, classical, ragtime, jazz, blues, spoken word, and more. It is searchable by keywords or by such specific categories as vocalist, language, record label, composer, performer, etc.
The sound quality is good, and the wide variety of recordings will entertain and inform listeners with a wide variety of musical and historical interests.
