Special Collections & University Archives at the University of California, Riverside houses rare books, manuscripts, archival materials, photographs, videotapes, broadsides, and other media formats covering a wide range of special subject areas. Our holdings do not circulate, but may be used in our reading room.

The Department is particularly known for its Citrus collections; the Eaton Collection in Science Fiction; its Inland Southern California collections; its collections on the Native American experience, including the Rupert Costo Library of the American Indian; the Tomás Rivera Papers; the Tuskegee Airmen collections; and the Water Resources Collection and Archives. However, the department has significant strengths in a number of collecting areas.
