The California Digital Library

The California Digital Library (CDL) represents the cooperative digital library initiatives of the libraries of the 10 campuses of the University of California system.  The CDL is both the combined electronic collections and services and the organization that supports them.

The staff members of the CDL support the joint purchase of electronic materials by assisting with costs, negotiating on UC's behalf, organizing processing and billing, and coordinating the support of those materials.  They also coordinate efforts related to the University of California union library catalog known as Melvyl.
