Finding Research Articles from Anywhere
There are several journal articles databases that are available from your home :
In addition, the InfoTrac OneFile and EBSCOhost databases are available at some public and school libraries, or from home using your public library's remote log-in procedures. (Links to local Libraries)
- When you access a database, enter your search terms (significant words from your topic) in the search box.
- If you get too many results, try to add some words to your search to modify/narrow the topic.
- Look at the list of article titles and abstracts (summaries), and select those that you want to read.
- Many articles are available full-text on the web: look for "full text" or "PDF", and click on it to see the complete article.
- If there is no full text available from the database, find out if a local library has the Articles:
To find out if a library has the articles you have located through the above sources, search for the journal titles in the library's catalog, available from your home. (Links to local Libraries)
