Articles and Books for a Literature Review

Books

1. Search Scotty using the Keywords field.  Enter your general topic, (e.g. fuel cells)
2. Identify call number and location for each book (e.g. Science Library TP1056 P65)
3. Get book

• You can ask for directions at the at the Reference Desk
• If the items you need are not at UCR (or checked out) , send a request to ILL.

We are also building a collection of ebooks which might be useful either on campus or from home via a remote access server.

Journal Articles

Articles are found in article indexes/databases.  The best one for engineering is Compendex (guide), and the best one for chemistry is SciFinder Scholar.

Look on the Engineering Library Databases list to see more of our engineering related databases. 

In Journal article databases you can use more precise topics.  (e.g. corrosion and fuel cells or micro* and fuel cells)
