What is a Library PIN?

A Library PIN (Personal Identification Number) is comprised of 4 different, nonconsecutive digits and will allow you to:

How do I get a Library PIN?

Once you have obtained a UCR/Library Card:

  1. Go to the myScotty log in page.
  2. Enter your UCR/Library Card barcode number (begins with 21210...) and a Library PIN, determined by you. A Library PIN should consist of four different, nonconsecutive digits.
  3. Enter the same PIN twice and click on "Submit".

What is Forgot your PIN?

If you are unsure as to whether or not you have created a Library PIN or if you cannot remember your Library PIN, you may use the "Forgot your PIN" feature to set/reset it.

  1. Go to the mySCOTTY log in page.
  2. Do not enter any information.  Simply click on the "Forgot your PIN" link directly beneath the Submit button.
  3. Enter the barcode number from your UCR/Library Card (begins with 21210...).
  4. You will receive an email directing you to set/reset your PIN.  Please note that you must have a valid email address in your library account in order to use this feature.

How do I change my Library PIN?

If you remember your Library PIN, but would like to change it:

  1. Log in to your mySCOTTY account.
  2. Click on the "Modify your PIN" button.
  3. Enter your current Library PIN and then enter a new Library PIN in the two spaces provided.
  4. Click on "Submit".
