New maps and other cartographic materials are processed in the Map Processing Room.

The Map Collections assistant's work station has a view of the map cases & atlas roller stacks.

This view shows the main entrance to the room, map storage shelves, and windows looking out toward the atlas roller stacks. The shelves provide storage space for maps until future processing can take place.

There are supply cabinets and a sink for use in preservation of cartographic materials.
