California Museum of Photography Library
The California Museum of Photography library houses approximately 10,000 volumes of books, exhibition catalogs, journals and magazines, technical handbooks, auction and sales catalogs, and camera manuals, covering a broad spectrum of topics on the history of photography and ranging from the mid-1800s through present day. The library's strengths reflect the strengths of the museum's collection, with special focus on technology and the scientific history of the medium, and stereoscopy. The California Museum of Photography is located in downtown Riverside at 3824 Main Street, at the intersection of the Main Street Pedestrian Mall and University Avenue. It is approximately three miles west of the University of California, Riverside campus. (See Map)
Access
The California Museum of Photography library collection is available by appointment only, Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm. The collection is accessible to UCR students, staff, faculty, and community users for library use only.
