The University of California and the Citrus Experiment Station were involved with the research conducted at this site. Material includes photographs of date palms in California, North Africa, and Iraq; photographs regarding the cultivation of palm varieties and palm diseases; scrapbook compiled by Walter Tennyson Swingle regarding date palms, tropical fruits, and citrus in California and the Middle East; and various publications issued by the United States Department of Agriculture, University of California, and Citrus Experiment Station.
