B.M. Lelong: A Treatise on Citrus Culture in California, 1888
B.M. Lelong was Secretary of the State Board of Horticulture of the State of California. This 98-page bulletin published by the California State Office in Sacramento was a general guide to growing citrus fruits prepared by Lelong specifically for use by commercial growers. Much of the early American literature on citrus growing appeared in state and local government publications such as this.
