Above a beautifully detailed rendering of "Doctor Schober's garden" -- presumably a man of learning who could afford to experiment with exotic plants in his Baroque garden -- hovers a rendering of a "Limon Cedrato" dated 1699.
In this section of his well-ordered property, Dr. Schober is growing citrus trees in wooden boxes and aloe vera in decorative pots. All of these can be moved inside in the winter. Two men in the flamboyant dress and powdered wigs of the day chat in the foreground.
