Cataloging/Metadata Services Department

The Cataloging/Metadata Services Department consists of librarians and library assistants who create the cataloging records for the UCR Library, in all languages and formats, including monographs, serials, UCR theses and dissertations, music, videos, microforms, electronic resources and other non-book formats. We contribute original cataloging to OCLC, and records of Scotty, the UCR Library Catalog are sent forward for inclusion in the MELVYL Catalog, the UC systemwide library catalog.
