Procedure for Coding Scotty Records for Deletion

This is effective immediately per Manuel Urrizola:
As you all know, you must code records for deletion by putting a "d" in the Suppress field of the bibliographic record.
All catalogers must also add a 910 field with this information:
910 DEL ; [initials] ; [date]
Record will not be deleted unless the 910 field is also included in the record.
Background: In the past, many records have been coded for deletion that are in SRLF, in BAN, and SpCol--but the books have been found to still be on the shelf. This is one way to help solve the problem. If your initials are in the record, it provides assurance that the record should be deleted.
