NOTE: Do not quote spine titles such as "Ballantine fantasy", "Del Rey science fiction", etc. UCR's practice is to ignore this.
Example: Ballantine Books would be listed in the 260 as it appears on the title page. Note that “Adult fantasy” is a traced series.
Example 2: Ballantine Books would be listed in the 260 as it appears on the title page and after "published by" on the t.p. verso. Quote "A Del Rey book" as it appears on the title page and t.p. verso. Give the source of the quoted note if not taken from the title page.
Example 3: Ballantine Pub. Group would be listed in the 260 as it appears after "published by" on the t.p. verso. Quote "A Del Rey book" as it appears on the title page and t.p. verso. Give the source of the quoted note if not taken from the title page.
Example 4: Random House Pub. Group would be listed in the 260 as it appears after "published by" on the t.p. verso. Quote “Ballantine Books” as it appears on the title page and "A Del Rey book" as it appears on the t.p. verso. Give the source of the quoted note if not taken from the title page.
