 Grove Dictionary of American Music The articles in the Grove Dictionary of American Music range from small definitions of dance styles and musical terms to mid-length biographies of important performers, composers and music patrons, to longer examinations of larger subjects such as the history of jazz, musical instruments, music education in the United States, and the American history of the orchestra.  Articles are supplemented by over 400 images and 140 musical examples and other materials.

DRAM (Databases of Recorded American Music)

DRAM is a scholarly online resource for listening to CD quality recordings of American music with liner notes and essays from 37 different labels. Represented are 6654 composers, 17,702 performers, 2809 ensembles, and 1141 instruments.

Art Index Retrospective Indexes articles in art, archaeology, architecture, and film; 1929-1984
ARTstor Over one million images in the arts, humanities, & sciences. To download images, users must register. To register one must be on campus and then select ‘register for more features’ located in top right hand corner of ARTstor screen. Once registered, you can access ARTstor from off-campus by logging in to your account for 120 days (this does not require using the VPN). To reset the 120 day clock, log in to your ARTstor account from an on-campus computer.
