Finding DVDs, VHS, and Audio Tapes

DVDs, VHS and audio tapes, slides, laserdiscs and other media formats are housed in the Multimedia Library. The Multimedia Library is located in Room 2117 (2nd floor) of the CHASS Interdisciplinary Building South. Multimedia Library materials may be checked out by UC Faculty, students and staff.  All others may utilize materials within the Multimedia Library, provided a valid UCR Libraries' card is presented. Searching UCR's collection

To determine whether the library owns an item, you can search Scotty.

• Scotty
  To search by subject or keyword use Scotty. To limit your search by format, select limit/sort results from the top menu bar, then under "material type" select the appropriate format.

Searching Melvyl

• Melvyl Catalog
  To find media materials owned by other campuses in the UC system. To limit your search to a specific format, select advanced search mode, then the appropriate format, such as motion pictures, movies, videorecordings, audiovisuals, etc.

Searching Other Collections

• WorldCat
  To search for media materials not owned by UCR or other UC campuses. WorldCat includes over 1.7 million visual material records. To limit your search, select the appropriate format type, visual materials or sound recordings.

Requesting materials not owned by UCR

To request materials not owned by UCR, use the Request service or Interlibrary loan service. These services are for UCR students, faculty and staff.
