"Science at the Leading Edge"
A Freshman Discovery Seminar sponsored by the Science Library, this course will be a series of ten one-hour seminars where faculty from various disciplines will speak about the latest developments in their area of research. The sessions may include visits to actual research facilities. As part of the course, students will be given a list of related readings prior to each session. Overall, this Freshman Discovery Seminar will provide a rewarding experience for students to hear about science at the leading edge and be introduced to renowned scientists at UCR. The seminar will also create a context for students to explore informational resources on the topics.

The exhibit designed by Margarita Yonezawa with assistance from Julie Mason, Michele Potter, and Geetha Yapa. The exhibit is located on the First Floor of the Science Library and will be available until June 2005.
