UCR Academic: Current UCR Faculty, Academic Staff, Lecturers and Researchers must obtain a UCR Card from the Card Office, which functions as your library card. Library privileges are automatically updated annually based on current employment. To establish library privileges, we will need to confirm your employment by looking you up in the UCR directory, or you may bring a confirmation letter of employment from your department on letterhead.

Emeritus/Retired UCR Academics may use a UCR Card or obtain a UCR Library Card from the Rivera or Orbach Science Library Circulation Desk for library services. To establish library privileges, please bring proof of your status (i.e. UCR issued emeritus / retirement card) and confirmation of your address (i.e. driver's license). Library privileges are updated biennially with confirmation of status.

UCR Cooperative Extension may obtain a UCR Library card from the Rivera or Orbach Science Library Circulation Desk for library services with confirmation of status (i.e. UC ID, employment paperwork, etc.). Library privileges are updated yearly, as authorized.

Biomed Clinicians / City of Hope may obtain a UCR Library card from the Rivera or Orbach Science Library Circulation Desk for library services. Your name must be on the official list provided to the UCR Libraries for confirmation of status. Library privileges are updated yearly, as authorized.

Proxy Borrowers for UCR Academics may obtain a UCR Library proxy card from the Rivera or Orbach Science Library Circulation Desk for library services. A Proxy Borrower Application must be completed to establish privileges.
