Rivera Library Document Delivery Service
What is Document Delivery?
Rivera Library Document Delivery Service is a service to UCR faculty, graduate students and staff, and to undergraduates with disabilities for obtaining materials located at the UCR Libraries. It includes book retrieval, plus a journal photocopy service. Requests are accepted through REQUEST, UC-eLinks and Citation Linker (not via the UCR Catalog, Scotty).
How can I register for document delivery service?
Eligible patrons wishing to use Rivera Document Delivery Service must pick up and complete a registration form at the Rivera Interlibrary Loan Office.How long does it take?
Rivera Document Delivery requests will be processed within 48 hours.
What does it cost?
There is no charge for book requests. Books are retrieved for users and held for check out at the Rivera Library Circulation Desk.
There is a charge for article requests. Photocopied articles are mailed to the address specified on the user registration form, or picked up at the Rivera Library Copy Center or Science Library Copy Center.
The charge for photocopied articles is 15¢ per page.
Copying from microform to paper is 27¢ per page
Instructions for Rivera Document Delivery via the WWW
From the MELVYL Catalog:
- Select item to REQUEST by checking the selection box next to each item.
- Click on the REQUEST button.
- Complete the form: Enter your departmental affiliation and your 14-digit library card barcode number, (e.g. 2121...). Use the NOTES field to enter any additional information.
- Click on the Continue button.
- Follow the prompts.
From the UCR & UC-licensed databases:
- Select items to REQUEST by checking the selection box next to each item.
- Click on the UC-eLinks button.
- Click on the REQUEST button.
- Complete the form: Enter your departmental affiliation and your 14-digit library card barcode number, (e.g. 2121...). Use the NOTES field to enter any additional information.
- Click on the Continue button.
- Follow the prompts.
From the UC-eLinks Citation Link
[Find a link to your article or book]
- Click on a tab to choose a form.
- Enter the information.
- Click the "Continue" button to go to UC-eLinks.
- Follow the instructions for either the Melvyl Catalog or the UCR/UC-licensed database above.
