Schedule your class
Schedule your class
Rivera Library (Humanities & Social Sciences, Business, Education)
How it Works
When scheduling a library instruction session, we prefer to have two weeks notice prior to the date you would like the session. Classes can be scheduled with less notice. However, classroom and librarian availability may be limited. You can schedule your class for a library instruction session either in person, via phone, email, or using our Online form. The library receives the request and checks the calendar for room availability. The librarian assigned to conduct the instruction session will then contact you to confirm the date and time. It is highly recommended that at this time the instructor provides the librarian with any relevant information that will help him/her prepare for the session. For example, the librarian should be provided the current assignment, due date of the assignment, as well as any other pertinent information.NOTE: Please give your students their assignment prior to arriving for the Library Instruction Session. A 50 or 90 minute class session is a short amount of time for the Librarians to teach the students about the library. Providing the students with the assignment prior to the library session saves valuable time and prepares the students for what they are going to need in terms of research.
Instructors are required to attend the library session with their students. Under emergency circumstances, alternate arrangements can be made.
