Reference Services

The WRCA welcomes reference questions regarding our materials.

Reference questions regarding WRCA rare print and manuscript collections can be emailed to waterarc@ucr.edu.

Reference questions regarding WRCA circulating materials can be directed to Orbach Science Library Reference.

Circulation Policies

WRCA's circulating collection is available for checkout by UCR faculty, staff and students.  Members of the community seeking to checkout circulating materials may join the Friends of the UCR Library and receive a library card.  The cost of membership is $45. Loan rules for circulating materials  vary depending on the type of material.  The circulating collection is located in the open stacks on the 1st Floor of the Orbach Science Library.

WRCA has a large amount of non-circulating material that must be viewed onsite in the Special Collections & University Archives reading room. Please complete the WRCA eReference for assistance.

Interlibrary Loan & Document Delivery

ILL and reproduction request services are available.  All requests for photocopying and photo duplication are subject to Special Collections & University Archives guidelines and duplication fees and U.S. Copyright law.  If you wish to make a request online please search our Scotty Catalog or the Online Archives of California for materials and you may make a request in each system. You will need to create an account in our Special Collections Request System first.
