Earthquake Processes, Geophysics & Tectonics

Located in: Orbach Science Library

The study of earthquakes and seismic movement is critical to California. UCR researchers use observational modeling and investigate geological processes operating at a wide range of spatial and temporal scales, spanning many disciplines within the Earth Sciences. The Library supports their work with data sets, maps, journals, and databases, including Earthquake Engineering Abstracts, GeoRef, and Water Resources Abstracts.

The UCR Library also offers collections of topographic and thematic maps and a digital lab equipped with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software and geographic spatial data.
