Annual Energy Review

The Annual Energy Review presents historical (1949 to present) energy statistics. United States energy consumption, production, trade, and prices are included. Data are presented as statistical tables, as spreadsheets, and as graphs.

Biodiesel

The National Biodiesel Board (NBB) is the national trade association representing the biodiesel industry as the coordinating body for research and development in the United States. The Biodiesel site provides information about biodiesel (mono-alkyl esters [derivatives of fats and oils]) with reports, press releases, fact sheets, streaming media, and biodiesel basics.

Canadian Renewable Fuels Association : CRFA

The Canadian Renewable Fuels Association (CRFA) works "to promote renewable fuels for automotive transportation and government liaison activities." In addition to information about biodiesel and ethanol, the CRFA website contains several downloadable newsletters, related news, and a collection of related links.

Energy Information Sheets

Fact sheets on energy: coal, electricity, natural gas, nuclear power, petroleum, propane and renewable resources. Each topic offers basic information, statistics and links to related Energy Information Administration publications.

Flexibility in natural gas: supply and demand

This fee-based electronic resource is accessible (either directly or via proxy server) from subscribing institutions. Consult your reference librarian if you have access questions.

Forecasts, U.S. Energy Information Administration

The U.S. Energy Information Administration offers United States and world forecasts for the energy industry and of energy consumption. There are data, analyses, and reports by fuel (petroleum, natural gas, electricity, coal, nuclear, renewables, alternative fuels) and by sector (residential, commercial, industrial, transportation, electric power, all fuels). The most recent issues of International Energy Outlook (IEO), Annual Energy Outlook (AEO), and Short-term Energy Outlook (STEO) are included.

Petroleum (Information from the U.S. Energy Information Administration)

The U.S. Energy Information Administration offers information and statistics about petroleum supply and use in the United States. Included are:
---Statistics and information on marketing, consumption, supply, reserves, and prices of oil, gas, natural gas, propane, ethane, diesel, kerosene, and other petroleum products
---Information on oil and gas development and oil and gas productive capacity
---Oil and Gas Field Code Master List, a comprehensive listing of U.S. oil and gas field names
---Cost and Indices for Domestic Oil and Gas Field Equipment and Production Operations (database)
