Attributed to Volkamer himself, the delightful copper plates in this quintessentially Baroque work show not only the citrus fruits -- and in one case, their pests -- in loving detail, but also include a glimpse into contemporary life in 17th century Germany. The two volumes of this work are a magnificent 37 x 24 cm. and many of the plates fold out to three times that size. Click on the samples below for a closer look.
