NOTE: Do not quote spine titles such as "AvoNova fantasy", "Avon Eos science fiction", etc. UCR's practice is to ignore this. (see example)
Example 1: Avon Pub. would be listed in the 260 as it appears on the title page. Quote "An Avon original" and any numbers (example: T-287) that appear on the cover, spine, etc. Give the source of the quoted note or number if not taken from the title page.
Example 2: Avon Books would be listed in the 260 as it appears on the t.p. verso. Quote any numbers (example: N187) that appear on the cover, spine, etc. Give the source of the quoted note or number if not taken from the title page.
Example 3: Avon Books would be listed in the 260 as it appears on the t.p. verso. Quote "An Avon Library book" as it appears on the title page and any numbers (example: NS16) that appear on the cover, spine, etc. Give the source of the quoted note or number if not taken from the title page.
Example 4: Avon Books would be listed in the 260 as it appears on the t.p. verso. Quote "An Avon Camelot book" as it appears on the title page.
Example 5: Avon Books would be listed in the 260 as it appears on the t.p. verso. Quote "AvoNova" as it appears on the title page.
Example 6: Avon Books would be listed in the 260 as it appears on the t.p. verso. Quote "Avon Eos" as it appears on the title page.
