This table gives information about individual (major) e-book products which we offer at the UCR Libraries.

EBL Online, PDF, and sometimes EPUB. Unlimited Printing, downloading = 20% of a book's content per user (does not have to be consecutive pages). 5% of the book can be copied and pasted. Perfect! Natural History of San Francisco Bay Using Adobe Digital Editions on PC. An Adobe account is required to transfer EBL ebooks to a handheld device. IOS and android devices download directly to the the Bluefire App. 1 day downloads, to start, moves to 8 days after 3 times. Unlimited repeat downloads. Download pages as PDF and drag into your Kindle when plugged in. Requires Log-in. This allows users to check out books. Library Guest Access for non-UCR people. Read Online: Notes attached to pages.
Search.  Navigation by arrow buttons, page down, TOC, or jump to page. PDF view allows copy and dictionary.  Read Aloud.
EbscoHost formerly NetLibrary PDF One user for most, some have 2 users. When you are done reading, click the back button to release the book. Otherwise, It takes a while for the system to allow a new person in. May be as many as 24 hours. 60 Pages (per day it seems). It downloads to PDF and includes an Ebsco Watermark (and citation info). Allows one to select chapter or page range. Copy and paste menus seem disabled, select and drag works. Not possible. Mojave Desert : Ecosystem Processes and Sustainability Not yet, but it is a potential option for the library to pursue. Download to PDF and drag into Kindle or Nook when plugged in. Users can add notes which attach to pages if they log in.
