What is SRLF?
SRLF is the Southern Regional Library Facility. The southern campuses of the University of California send materials to SRLF when we run out of room, or when the material becomes dated. SRLF then stores all of the items and we can page them back should we need them. In order to get materials from SRLF, you would submit an Interlibrary Loan Request, but the likelihood is that you would get the materials much faster than typical ILL requests. Unfortunately, since the requests are made through ILL, SRLF materials are not available to community users unless they travel to SRLF itself or borrow them through another library with which they have Interlibrary Loan privileges.
SRLF is located in Los Angeles and is open to the public. They have a reading room and bring materials there for visitors. For more information, visit their Web site.
