Tutorial: Library Research for the Life Sciences
Purpose and Instructions
In this tutorial you will learn:
- the importance and use of scientific literature.
- how to interpret a citation.
- how to use an electronic index to locate journal articles.
- how to determine if our library holds a particular journal.
The tutorial is divided into 5 sections.
Go through them in the order in which they are presented.
If you have to stop before reaching the end, note which section you are in. You can start again by clicking on the name of the appropriate section on the Contents page. It should take about 30 to 40 minutes to go through the entire tutorial.
