SECTION 1.2- Journal Articles

The journal article is important because it allows scientists to communicate the results of their work to others.

In starting a new project, scientists
check the journal literature to see what work has already been done. By doing this, they avoid the expense and trouble of repeating the same work unnecessarily.

In this tutorial, you will learn some of the ways that scientists in the Life Sciences find journal articles on a particular subject.
