Food and Sustainability
In conjunction with UCR's Campus Sustainability Program, the Rivera Library prepared a virtual display of books about food sustainability along with a physical exhibit placed in the Orbach Science Library. These titles addressed various aspects of food and sustainability, from organic farming and marketing to ecology. The Libraries were delighted to have this opportunity to work with sustainability issues and hope that you will find this virtual exhibit inspirational and useful. See additional books on the topic, from a science perspective in the Orbach Science Library.
Food, Inc. was screened on February 24th, 2011 in University Lecture Hall 1000 from 5-7pm, and was followed by a discussion led by Gustavo Plascencia, GM of Safety, Sustainability and Project Development in Dining. The screening was presented in collaboration with: Sustainable UCR, ASUCR, UCR Office of Sustainability, and UCR Dining Services.
